About me

My Style

My therapeutic style is active and challenging. I don't tend to sit silently.  My approach melds traditional psychological approaches and life coaching modalities. I consider the work I do to be art of subtleties learned over my thousands of data points of client experiences and the current science on how human brains process and evolve.

My style is informed from my diverse experience.  I have worked in adolescent residential treatment, FBI consulting, expert witness and a professorship at the graduate level; all the while working with my private practice clients.  In the last several years, I have been sought out as a corporate consultant and speaker to discuss how our negative experiences and traumas shape our behaviors as high intensity professionals.  I speak to groups about how to fine tune glitches in certain areas of professional excellence based on our unique past experiences.  This C-suite consulting work has evolved into multi-day in-person intensives for my clients looking to maximize therapeutic benefit in a condensed and highly focused period of time.

My Goal

The complexities and often unfelt magnificence I can see in my clients never ceases to inspire and amaze me.  Anyone who is willing to do hard work is already a gift to this World!  I've grown bored of many things in my life but this work....never!

I feverishly seek out new knowledge from multiple disciplines such as biology, neurology and animal behavior research. My goal is to leverage my 20 years of clinical experience to get clients effectively and efficiently to their desired goals.

Therapy does NOT have to last years.  I don't believe it should last for years.  Treatment can exist in a specific time and place then returned to many years later when something feels important to process.  I've maintained relationships with many of my clients for decades, often going from one year to the next until something arises, allowing us to continue seamlessly.
