Therapy for the Trauma Professional
The rewards of being a trauma professional; be it a police officer, nurse, physician, military personnel, educator, attorney, investigator or therapist, is immense. However, the world in which we work can feel dark at times. After years of working with individuals who do potentially traumatizing jobs every day in the hopes of bettering the world, I decided it was imperative I add in supporting those individuals so that they can maintain a balance between the intensely difficult work they do and seeing the beauty that is often looked in the world.
Being that we are looked upon to be the fearless leaders for our clients and community, it is important to feel supported and have a sanctuary to shed difficulties and struggles. The goal is to gain perspective in order to fully love our lives and the beauty we bring to it.
